Scripture keeps reaching for agriculture when it describes spiritual growth. Seed, soil, season, harvest. It almost never reaches for industry.
This is not sentimentality. It is a claim about time. A factory can be sped up. A field cannot.
Which means that the honest question about your life with God is not how fast am I moving, but what am I planting and am I still planting it.
Farmers also live with a gap they cannot close. There is a stretch between sowing and any visible sign, and in that stretch nothing looks like it is working. Every farmer keeps going anyway.
Notice, too, that harvest is communal. Nobody gathers a field alone. If your faith has become a solitary project, that is not maturity; it is isolation wearing maturity's clothes.
So: one practice, planted this week and repeated unimpressively. And one person who knows you are planting it.
