You Keep Me in Perfect Peace

Written for the Finding Peace journey, this song sings Isaiah 26:3 and Philippians 4:6–7 back to God — a reminder that you do not have to carry tomorrow before tomorrow comes.

[Intro] You keep me in perfect peace You keep me in perfect peace My mind is stayed on You My heart is held by You [Verse 1] When anxious thoughts surround my heart And I don't know where to start I bring my requests to You I bring my fears to You With thanksgiving I will pray You are near to me today Your peace will guard my heart and mind Your peace is more than I can find [Pre-Chorus] I will not carry tomorrow Before tomorrow comes You are my Shepherd, my refuge In You my soul is calm [Chorus] You keep me in perfect peace Whose mind is stayed on You You keep me in perfect peace Your promises are true I will not fear what lies ahead Your hand will lead me through You keep me in perfect peace My heart is stayed on You [Verse 2] You lead me beside still waters You restore my weary soul Even when the road is uncertain You are the One who makes me whole I do not have to know it all I only need to trust Your call Sufficient is the grace You give With You, today is mine to live [Bridge] Be anxious for nothing Be anxious for nothing In everything, pray In everything, pray And the peace of God Will guard my heart And the peace of God Will guard my mind [Final Chorus] You keep me in perfect peace Whose mind is stayed on You You keep me in perfect peace Your promises are true I will not fear what lies ahead Your hand will lead me through You keep me in perfect peace My heart is stayed on You [Outro] My mind is stayed on You My heart is held by You You keep me in perfect peace You keep me in perfect peace
